The economic and market objectives should be achieved by using energy as efficiently as possible. The aim is to optimize production-specific energy costs and gradually reduce the use of energy to conserve natural resources.
An energy management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50001:2018 was introduced at the HASIT Trockenmörtel GmbH sites in Germany back in October 2014 in order to achieve these fundamental goals as part of a planned and continuously improving process.
Sustainability is more than just a goal for us - it is our responsibility. As a member of the VEA initiative “Climate-friendly SMEs”, we are actively committed to the energy transition and climate protection.
The initiative supports us with customized climate protection roadmaps and provides access to a strong network of companies pursuing similar goals. Together with other members, we exchange ideas and best practices in order to make our contribution to a climate-neutral future and promote sustainable solutions.
Energy saving and CO₂ reduction at the Ammerbuch plant
As part of our sustainability strategy, we have replaced the outdated conveying air compressor at the Ammerbuch site with a modern, energy-efficient model from Atlas Copco. This latest generation of air compressors combines reliability, energy efficiency and environmental awareness.
Together with our partners, DT Drucklufttechnik and StaKotec, we successfully completed the installation and commissioning.
Climate protection that works:
Energy savings: 211,600 kWh per year
CO₂ reduction: 70,014 kg per year
With this modernization, we are making a measurable contribution to climate protection and optimizing our operational processes at the same time. Another step towards a sustainable and efficient future!
As a manufacturing and delivery company, merchandise management and logistics are central to HASIT's day-to-day business. Transport planning and processing, the search for suitable forwarders and carriers as well as freight cost pricing and invoicing are among the time-consuming and resource-intensive activities of planners and dispatchers.
Our goal: to avoid empty runs on our roads, long waiting times and interrupted information and communication flows.
The solution: With the Transporeon logistics platform, we have found a platform that closely links shippers and recipients with their carriers. This interface allows us to put our transport requirements out to tender and obtain quotes. It is that easy to find the right transport company at the click of a mouse. Transporeon serves as an electronic communication network for all business partners and allows data to be exchanged via the system structure. This enables the automated processing of transactions between the systems involved and creates the basis for holistically integrated logistics processes.
The result: By using TTransporon, HASIT has succeeded in streamlining all scheduling processes in the long term: Faster and more detailed information exchange facilitates the daily workflow and significantly reduces the communication effort between HASIT and its carriers. Quick and easy collection and comparison of freight offers provides greater price transparency and the best possible allocation of freight orders. Carriers benefit from the optimal use of resources and reduced empty mileage and can pass this advantage on in the form of lower freight costs. The customer is happy.
Not a minor side effect, but an important plus point is the reduction in CO2 emissions due to greater efficiency. An important aspect of climate protection!
Accidents between trucks and cyclists occur time and again - often with fatal outcomes. Turn assist systems are an effective support system that contributes significantly to improving road safety and has been proven to reduce the number of accidents, particularly between trucks turning right and vulnerable road users. Accident researchers estimate that over 60 percent of serious accidents would involve cyclists and right-turning trucks.
HASIT has taken this insight as an opportunity to equip all of its own trucks with turning assistants and reversing cameras. Now our truck drivers are warned in good time with acoustic and visual signals and can react accordingly to avoid a collision.
The energy-efficient refurbishment of buildings, especially façade insulation, is one of the main challenges in achieving climate protection targets. In Germany alone, more than 19 million properties are affected. In addition, there are limits to the application when insulating facades that are worthy of preservation or listed buildings. A unique alternative to conventional insulation methods has been developed specifically for these requirements: The highly effective HASIT Fixit 222 Aerogel lime thermal insulation render. It is the world's first insulating plaster to combine the positive properties of mineral lime plasters with the advantages of a high-performance insulating material with λD 0.028 W/mk. The recognized ETA approval from the German Institute for Building Technology (DiBT) confirms this.
The production of many building materials is very energy-intensive and therefore CO2 -intensive. With this in mind, the building materials manufacturer HASIT joined forces with 17 other companies in the 4E (Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency) efficiency network in 2018. The network is part of the federal initiative Energy Efficiency Networks and was initiated by BayWa r.e. renewable energy GmbH and Bayerngas Energy GmbH. Even before joining the network, HASIT was able to reduce its energy consumption by 30 percent within just three years. “An important step on the way to lower CO2 emissions is to sensitize and train employees. It's often the little things that make the difference: 15% of the savings alone can be attributed to changes in behavior in everyday working life,” explains Gerhard Scholz, energy consultant and former CEO of HASIT. The company has been operating an ISO 50.001-certified energy management system for several years.

With the definition, introduction and maintenance of the energy policy described below, HASIT Trockenmörtel GmbH is committed to achieving improved energy performance and is pursuing the following corporate goals:
Production and the necessary provision of buildings and plant technology should be carried out in such a way that all production processes have as little impact on the environment as possible.
The achievement of economic and market-related goals should be realized with the most efficient use of energy possible. This involves optimizing production-specific energy costs and gradually reducing energy consumption to conserve natural resources.
To realize these fundamental goals within the framework of a planned and continuously improving process, an energy management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50001:2018 was implemented in October 2014 at the HASIT Trockenmörtel GmbH sites in Germany.
Since 2021, HASIT and its sister companies in Germany have been testing and implementing new work models. Particularly successful is "mobile working" in Germany, which offers employees maximum flexibility while also benefiting the environment. Based on a value of 150 grams of CO2 per kilometer between home and work, approximately 55.5 tons of CO2 were saved in 2022 alone. Additionally, there has been a significant reduction in business travel, which is now frequently replaced by video conferences across Europe.
Decorative plasters from HASIT meet the highest standards for design, safety, and durability. For over 100 years, decorative plasters have been synonymous with longevity and timeless beauty. Their environmentally friendly components, such as white lime and white cement, are unique and unparalleled in Europe, generating significantly fewer emissions than other building materials. HASIT's product portfolio includes tested lime plasters that have been successfully established in the market for many years. Various textures, shades, and grain sizes ensure expressive and individual surface designs. Thanks to their mineral composition, they achieve maximum breathability. Easy application and excellent value for money make decorative plasters a popular and economical design element for interiors and facades.
